Go-To Marketing (GTM) Strategy for MycoWave Network

Go-To Marketing (GTM) Strategy for MycoWave Network

  • Collaborate with owners and founders of start-up company to successfully launch, market, and sell their brand and product.

  • Rebranded elements and helped establish branding guidelines for improved consistency and production. Also created brand awareness, product education, and generated sales leads by helping establish marketing plan to identify target audience and appropriate channels to reach them.

  • MycoWave Network is a start-up company in the health and wellness industry, establishing themselves as experts and spearheads of spreading the benefits of functional mushrooms. The company developed two formulas made from different mushroom blends and sold as tinctures to launch their business.

The company originally wanted to hire Ardent Reverie, my wife’s social media content creation business that I help produce content for. When they learned about my services and skillset, they hired me as well to audit their current branding collateral. After a deeper dive, I put together an initial marketing strategy using integrated campaigns focusing on brand awareness, customer acquisition, and customer retention.

Partnering with Ardent Reverie, we provided various product photos and videos intended for social media. I used these assets to produce conceptualized marketing collateral such as rebranded packaging to better clarify the brand name vs product name, email campaigns and infographics for acquiring customers, and advertisements for brand awareness.

Packaging Rebrand

My initial reaction when seeing the packaging was thinking their brand name was “LUNA”. I was a bit confused when seeing the “SUNNY” packaging. It also took me a while to associate the mushroom graphic as their brand’s logo. These thoughts were confirmed when I asked other friends to describe the first 3 things they saw at a glance. Without changing their established branding guidelines, I recomposed their packaging for better grouping and hierarchy. I also proposed recoloring the SUNNY packaging for improved consistency.
